Candidates applying in Nicaragua:
Prospective students should write to admissions@uamcollege.edu.ni or visit the office and request an interview.
They must bring the following documents to Admissions:
- Nicaraguan citizens: National Identity Card (Cédula).
- Foreign Residents: Residency IdentityCard (Cédula de Residencia).
- Foreign Non-Residents: Passport.

The purpose of the interview is to determine the candidate’s level of English and his or her knowledge base. Graduation from an English speaking high school or a recent TOEFL score of at least a 60-64 in IBT (Please refer to table below, under Graduation Requirements). will be accepted as proof of English fluency.
Those who are accepted for enrollment should go to the Admissions Office pay an application fee (pre-matrícula) and the yearly registration fee. A student’s academic year begins in the semester in which they enroll.

Dr. Marvin Happel Scholarship to Excellence Award
UAM College offers a partial scholarship for new students beginning classes in August 2018. Applications will be considered based on scholastic achievement, community service, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

Scholarship value/duration
Three $13,440 scholarships are available in August 2018. Freshman scholarships are four-years´ awards requiring full time enrollment (minimum of 12 credits per semester) in an undergraduate degree program with a required cumulative GPA. Grades are subject to review on a term-by-term basis. Any scholarship recipient who earns a semester GPA of less than 2.5 will automatically forfeit the scholarship.
The scholarship does not cover the following fees: pre-admissions, annual registration, life insurance, student id card, independent studies, summer courses, graduation related fees or any other fee other than tuition.
Eligibility:
Scholarships are based on a combination of cumulative high school grade point average, co-curricular activities, and overall leadership.
